Fall is in the Air
We cater everywhere. This day, we served up food at the Rustic Tri Vue Drive-In in North Smithfield, RI. Chowders, clams, lobster, steak, bbq and grilled swordfish, corn on the cob and more.
Summertime – What a blast! Beach clambakes, backyard barbecues, company outings, weddings, graduations and so much more.
But now comes the time of the year so many of us enjoy. Autumn in New England. The air turns crisp and cool with the unmistakeable scent of autumn. The colors deepen into warm reds, oranges and browns.
This year, we are gearing up for some different kinds of functions. We recently had the good fortune to serve up food at the Rustic Tri Vue Drive-In in North Smithfield, RI. They were showing “The Millers” while we cooked up our Ocean State Clambake. The offerings included red or white chowders, steamed clams, lobsters, steak tips, rib-eye steak, bbq chicken and grilled swordfish. We also brought along plenty of corn on the cob, garden salad, sweet potatoes and red bliss potatoes. That was definitely NOT your normal Drive-In snack bar fare!
With football season in full swing, you may see our trucks setting up to serve tailgate parties at parking lots from Hartford to Worcester – and, of course, Foxboro. (Go, Patriots!) Popular fare for tailgating are pulled pork sandwiches and barbecue chicken wings. Some folks really enjoy our deep-fried turkeys.
This October, we will be in Rehoboth, MA for the Tuff Scramblers Ultimate 5K Adventure Race. We think folks will be quite hungry for their pulled pork sandwiches and potatoes after their experience with obstacles, trails, and plenty of mud.
And then, there’s the old-fashioned backyard pig-roast. Some of our clients get their own fire-pits roaring to keep their guests warm, while we get our pig roasters cranking. Appetites get going with the smell of the roasting pork, the crackling fire, and the cool night air.
So, yes, summer is frantic and fun – but autumn in these parts has a flavor all its own. We are only too happy to serve up great New England fare to suit the mood.
