Cinco de Mayo is coming in hot, and we’re already busting out the margarita glasses and all the avocados. In honor of this beloved Mexican holiday, we’re sharing five menu-must haves for your Cinco De Mayo bash.
Do It Yourself Taco Bar
What’s Cinco De Mayo without tacos? We love the South of the Border Menu, which includes a Chicken & Beef Taco Bar. Your guests will have a blast making their own creation with all the fixings: guacamole, shredded cheddar, lettuce, tomato chunks, olives, sour cream, salsa, and jalapenos to add some spice!
Salsa con Queso Mac N’ Cheese
Think outside the box, and wow your guests with an unexpected dish: Mac n’ Cheese! Our Salsa Con Queso Mac adds a zesty spin to this childhood favorite, with a to-die-for white cheese sauce. Take it to the next level by adding taco beef to your mac order!
Chips & Guac
Keep it simple with a Mexican classic: chips and guac! Our Mexican Platter is a party must-have, complete with nacho chips, salsa, sour cream, black bean dip, jalapenos and of course guacamole!
Irresistible Queso Dips
Everyone loves a good ol’ fashioned dip to snack on throughout the day. Our cheesy Salsa Con Queso or Beefy Salsa Con Queso dips are especially fitting for your Cinco De Mayo fiesta!
Tex-Mex Vegetable Salad
All your favorite Mexican flavors into one big healthy salad! This colorful and refreshing combo – featuring corn, beans, and peppers – is a great complement to your fiery meals and apps.
If you don’t feel like crafting your own menu from scratch, our South of the Border Menu is the perfect option for you! Along with the DIY Taco Bar (as mentioned above), this fan-favorite menu also includes:
- Veggie or Meat Chili
- Mexicali Vegetable Medley
- Spanish Rice
- Freshly Baked Corn Bread
Happy Cinco De Mayo, Friends!

Congratulations to Sandra M. of Cranston, RI!
Sandra's name was chosen as the lucky winner of our monthly drawing for a Clambake to Travel. When Sandra comes by our kitchen in Pawtucket to pick up her Clambake-to-Travel, she is sure to be super excited to bring home our traditional New England Clambake. Everything is included in its very own pot. Sandra's family or friends will enjoy this DIY clambake dinner.
The reusable take-home pot is completely full with lobster, steamers, mussels, chourico, corn on the cob, red bliss potatoes & onions.
By now, we hope you know, each month we hold a "Win-A-Clambake" drawing. This month, Sandra's name was chosen from the entries we received.
We think Sandra is going to really enjoy how easy it is to prepare our clambakes to travel!
The first thing you do is add water to the pot we provide. Then, you place it on your stove top.
In less than one hour, you and your guests can enjoy their own Traditional Old-Fashioned Clambake.
You could become next month's winner.
Simply visit the "Win a Clambake" page to register.
Please, feel free to enter every month. The more the merrier.
Here's what Dan R. of Simsbury, CT had to say on Yelp about his clambake.
"B&M catered our Friday night clambake at the Narragansett Beach North Clubhouse.
Our clambake menu included a belly-busting all-star line-up of Lobster, BBQ Chicken, New England Clam Chowder, Steamed Clams & Mussels, Drawn Butter, Baked beans, Corn on the Cob, Red Bliss potatoes & Onions, Brown bread & butter, apple crisp, lemonade & coffee. We also added on a full open bar option that ran 4 hours and included a bartender and insurance.
The food was amazing!!
The lobster was so good- perfectly cooked and without any of the tough stringiness, you get from a lobster that's been boiling in the pot a teensy bit too long.
Now I didn't expect to rave about the BBQ chicken at a clambake, but let me tell you the chicken was outstanding. So moist and tender with a really good barbecue sauce on top.
And we finished off our feast with a scoop of apple crisp and a squirt of whipped cream.
Thank you, Brian and Mickey Doherty (The B & M in B&M).
You did a bang up job for us."
