The event will be held at the Governor Henry Lippitt House.

gov lippit houseThe New York Times states that “The Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum is the only intact authentic example of original 19th-century high style Victorian decoration in Providence.” David Wrenn, Lippitt House Administrator, told us that the home was originally built with the intention that it would be used for quite a good deal of entertaining.  As such, it has retained that legacy in that many events continue to be held here.  It is the perfect space for coming together for special times.

Lavishly decorated with colorful stained glass windows, ornate carved woodwork, and marble statues, the Lippit House is widely known for its many faux finishes. The spaces include a collection of fine art and antiques, elaborate fireplaces, inlaid floors, and Victorian high-style ambiance.

The Lippitt House’s beautiful spaces create an exceptionally nice venue for a variety of social events such as bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and receptions.  They also offer their facility for retirement parties, anniversary celebrations, and other community events.

From spring through autumn, events may be held in the garden space which includes a beautiful fountain.  Tents are often erected for the comfort of guests.
