It was a sparkling Saturday in June when we pulled up to The Overbrook House in Bourne, MA with our B&M Catering entourage and truck full of delicious food and beverages for a beautiful wedding celebration.

Overbrook House has been the site of many wedding ceremonies and special family events for over 20 years. The facility can accommodate up to 140 people. If your guest list is over 140, they offer another wedding site across the street where they have an organic vegetable farm. (How cool is that!) The staff at Overbrook House includes experienced managers who are great about listening to you about what kind of wedding you are planning. They will discuss the best plans to work with your ideas.
We felt this couple had designed their menu perfectly.
The tables were set beautifully with linens from Party Cape Cod and looked really great with the mason jars for the iced water.
Passed appetizers for the event included spanakopita, bruschetta, and New England clam chowder shooters. Tables were set with crudite and cheese and cracker platters. The wedding party were thrilled to be offered oysters on half shell with lemon and cocktail sauce.
We set out cherry bomb salads on each of the guest tables. The raspberry vinegarette and balsamic vinegar dressings were alongside. Each of the tables also had baskets of our famous cornbread.
The dinner menu included lobsters, barbecue boneless chicken and grilled portabella mushroom napoleon. Sides included corn on the cob and grilled vegetables. The couple chose to offer our famous baked macaroni and cheese, as well.
It was summer, after all, so the strawberry shortcake station beside the assorted fruits with yogurts were a light and sweet ending to the catered wedding meal, along with the beautiful chocolate cake from Chocolate Rose Cake Shoppe.

Without a Hitch writes this in their blog about this event: “The night ended in sparklers, s’mores, and smiles as guests either departed or made their way to the Dance Hall to keep the night young. The day was beautiful and the couple couldn’t have been happier.” We were thrilled and honored to be a part of this very special day.
This wasn’t our first time at Overbrook House. In 2012, we had the honor of catering Kate and Cydney’s wedding. When asked to sum up their own wedding vibe, they described their wedding here as “relaxed, elegant and entertaining.” We’d have to agree.
