The Fresh Lobster, visits Fenway Park
Recently, our friend, Mitch, took in a Wednesday afternoon game at Boston’s Fenway Park. We agree, there is no better way to spend Hump Day then taking in the sights and smells of Yawkey Way.

Strolling down to Fenway Park – The Fresh Lobster visits Fenway Park
Mitch took our friend, The Fresh Lobster, along for the day. Â They had great seats way up on the third base line Pavilion. With a great view of Hanley Ramirez in left field and Brock Holt, Mitch and TFL got to watch Red Sox rookie, Eduardo Rodriguez, lead the Sox to a 6-3 win over the Minnesota Twins.

But here was the most interesting thing, according to Mitch. There’s a new garden, dubbed “Fenway Farms,” located behind Gate A. It includes a rotating lineup of seasonal vegetables, from kale to sweet peppers, along with herbs. The harvest will be used in food sold at the park, including dishes served at the EMC Club, the exclusive restaurant and seating area located behind home plate.
The 5,000-square-foot roof space is expected to generate an estimated 4,000 pounds of produce annually. The plan is to use the garden not only to serve home-grown concessions during games and other Fenway events, but to also use it go educate local youth on healthy eating and the importance of environmental preservation. The garden is expected to reduce energy costs by insulating the building below it

Of course, as foodies, ourselves, we are fascinated and excited by this new installation at Fenway Park.
