“We wanted something different and amazing is what we got. From the round ballroom, to the carousel on the deck, the Rotunda ballroom is what dreams are made of. The room is the perfect size and the location can’t get any better. We didn’t have a ceremony at this location, but if you’re looking for a beach ceremony, it doesn’t get any closer. Communication with the staff was quick and efficient, and the grounds were beautiful.”
This was a recent review for a wedding held at Easton’s Beach Rotunda. One of our more popular catering venues, the Rotunda is located on the ocean in Newport, RI, just one mile east of Historic Bellevue Avenue. This unique facility is a 12-sided symmetrical space (5,200 sq.ft.) which can hold 175 people. The Ballroom has its own wrap-around deck overlooking the ocean. One of the coolest attractions to this location is the historic carousel, just a few steps from the ballroom, which is available for rides by guests for the first hour of your event.
Special considerations for a beach ceremony at Easton’s Beach:
Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, an event at Easton’s Beach Rotunda can begin after 6:00pm (because of beach foot traffic and parking limitations). Prior to Memorial Day weekend and after Labor Day weekend, they allow ceremonies and receptions to begin as early as 11am. There is no extra charge for a beach wedding ceremony.
Since Easton’s Beach is a public beach, the facility staff does its best to control beach foot traffic. When the beach ceremony begins, they will hold back beach foot traffic to allow the wedding party to walk down the sidewalk aisle. Most people are only too happy to cooperate when asked to wait a few moments to allow a party to pass. Once the ceremony has begun, beach foot traffic will resume behind you until the ceremony ends, where once again, beach foot traffic will be held. The Rotunda coordinator remains on site throughout the event to support and direct the plans you have worked out for your event.
The facility offers free parking.

A Wedding Wire testimonial:
The Rotunda at Easton’s Beach is a fabulous venue for a wedding. From the initial booking through the wedding day all of the staff we dealt with were very attentive and professional. Despite the beach setting, you can have a very formal wedding if you choose, or you can keep it casual. In addition to the million dollar view, the reception room is so well kept up with fresh paint and polished floors. The Merry-Go-Round provided fun for the “kid” in all the adults as well as the children, and it made for some fun pictures. We are very grateful to have had access to this special place.
“My friend and I attended a wedding reception at Easton’s Beach last Saturday. The food was amazing. We had some of the best New England Clam Chowder we’ve ever tasted, while watching the sun begin to go down from the Rotunda. Dinner was surf and turf – my friend enjoyed the steak and said it was grilled perfectly. I enjoyed the freshly boiled lobster and the grilled vegetables.
But the best thing about this catering crew was watching how well they handled the challenges of this venue with ease, professionalism and friendliness. Stairs and wind would have discouraged other caterers that I have seen, but not these folks.
I highly recommend B&M Catering for their food and their service.”
