Oh, baby! It’s time to start planning your BFF’s or daughter’s baby shower, and you’re full of all the emotions. No worries, we’ve got you covered with simple tips to make baby shower planning a breeze – plus delicious catering options so you won’t have to fuss about the menu.
- Choose a Theme for the Baby Shower
First things first, you’ll probably want to choose a theme for the baby shower – be it woodland animals, Winnie the Pooh, or nautical. Sprinkle in decorations throughout the room to really embody the theme you’re going for. If you know the sex or name of the baby, you can also make a few decorative signs to hang.
- Plan Your Menu
Once you have your theme nailed down, it’s time to plan your menu! B & M Catering makes this part simple for you, as we offer a variety of full service and a la carte options depending on what you’re going for. We 100% recommend doing a buffet with fan-favorite options like fruit & veggie platters, clam chowder, sliders, salads and skewers.
The beauty of working with us is that you can feel free to incorporate your own cake or favorite add-ons to complete your menu. Fun fact: one recent shower we catered, the mama-to-be wanted to incorporate local PVDonuts!
- Make it Interactive
Keep your party guests entertained (and take the pressure off the mommy-to-be) by planning a few games. One tried and true favorite is having each guest cut a piece of string to guess the belly size of the guest of honor. The closest guess wins a prize! Baby Shower Bingo is also a hit during the gift portion of the shower.
- Consider a Special Takeaway Favor
Consider having a special favor to give your guests before leaving – as a “thank you” for coming near and far. Keep it simple and gift them something they’ll actually use (or eat) like a mini sugar scrub or small jar of colored M&Ms.

Congratulations to Gretchen B. of Raynham, MA.
Gretchen's name was chosen as the lucky winner of our monthly drawing for a Clambake to Travel.
When Gretchen comes by our kitchen in Pawtucket to pick up her Clambake-to-Travel, she is simply going to love taking home our traditional New England Clambake. She'll find that everything she needs is included in its very own pot. Gretchen's family or friends will enjoy this DIY clambake dinner.
The reusable take-home pot is completely full with lobster, steamers, mussels, chourico, corn on the cob, red bliss potatoes & onions.
Each month we hold a "Win-A-Clambake" drawing. This month,Gretchen's name was chosen from the entries we received.
We think Gretchen is going to really enjoy how easy it is to prepare our clambakes to travel!
The first thing you do is add water to the pot we provide. Then, you place it on your stovetop.
In less than one hour, you and your guests can enjoy their own Traditional Old-Fashioned Clambake.
You could become next month's winner.
Simply visit the "Win a Clambake" page to register.
Please, feel free to enter every month. The more the merrier.
"I wish there were more stars, I would rate B&M higher!
I hired B&M catering for my friends 40th birthday party and I could not have been happier with the food or the service.
Stephanie was great to work with to plan the event. She assured me I would feel like a guest at my own party and she was 100% right! She did not try to upsell me at all, she actually took down the number of apps I ordered and we had the perfect amount.
Jason and Ally (on-site crew for the day) were so fantastic and took care of everything.
They showed up early, were there throughout the event and made sure everything was all set/cleaned up before they left. They were available if we needed anything all day!
Everyone at the party raved about the food and the service.
We did the New England Lobster Bake and while it was a little expensive it was totally worth it.
It was an experience for everyone at the party!"
