IN CHINA 300 px Wide.JPG

Had a great time visiting China. I felt really at home here.
Oh, this is too funny. I just looked at my tag and I was Made in China.
Thanks for the great photo M.K.

We received a nice invitation to participate with the folks at Rhode Island PBS for an airing of: You Must Be This Tall: The Story of Rocky Point Park. The showing is Wednesday, March 2nd at 9 pm on your local PBS station.

For those of you not from Rhode Island, Rocky Point Park opened in Warwick, RI in the mid1840's and was in operation until 1996.  Over looking Narragansett Bay, Rocky Point was known for its many amusement rides and its shore dining hall, especially Clamcakes and Chowder.

We had several tastings this past weekend with prospective brides and grooms, and two of the couples were contemplating having Cupcake Trees, in lieu of a wedding cake.  Over the years, cupcakes have become more popular and the trend seems to be going strong.  When I opened the Boston Globe this morning and saw an article about cupcakes and their popularity, I thought...gotta share this.http://bit.ly/i7BiIa

Then we got to talking in the office about the different types of wedding cakes we've seen over the years and we thought the following Donut Tower, that we saw at the Roger Williams Casino recently, was kind of fun.

Of all the funky cakes we've seen,(and eaten) the self-described Red Neck Wedding Cake was the best.  It contained Zebra Cakes, Devil Dogs, Ding Dongs, Yodels, Suzy Q's , Twinkies, Ho Ho's, Yankee Doodles and everyones' favorite, Ring Dings.  This cake went so fast we didn't have time to snap a picture.  You could say it..... took the cake!

This past week, I visited the President and he was bellyaching about
how hard it is to quit smoking.  I stopped in about 10 minutes....
after they took me out of the pot.
