Nicole and Jesse write:

Dear B&M Team,
The food was delicious! We can't thank you enough for making our day perfect. Sue and Doogs went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Our guests haven't stopped talking about the food!  (Some had 3 lobsters)

Thanks again, Nicole and Jesse.

The North Beach Clubhouse in Narragansett, RI happens to be one of the more popular beach-side wedding venues that we have the honor of catering at. Last summer, we had a great time helping Nicole and Jesse celebrate their special day.

We greeted the guests with appetizers:

- New England Clam Chowder
- Corn Bread in place of Blueberry Bread
- Assorted Cheese & Crackers @ $2.99/Order
- Vegetable Crudite

Nicole and Jesse opted for the Surf 'n Turf main dinner menu for their guests to enjoy.

- Lobster
- Our Famous BBQ Steak Tips
- Cherry Bomb Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette
- Drawn Butter
- Grilled Vegetable Medley
- Red Bliss Potatoes & Onions
- Assorted Rolls & Butter

What Size Lobsters Do You Use?

faq what size lobster

Here in New England, we are fortunate to have a great supply of lobsters, shrimp, oysters, clams and more seafood from the nearby cold waters. We have found that the most common size for lobsters is about a pound and a quarter. We can always ask our providers for larger lobsters if you'd like to offer them to your guests.

Summer's fast approaching and that means its clambake season!

Congratulations to Karen from Dedham, MA!

She is this month's lucky winner of our Clambake-to-Travel monthly drawing.

clambake do it yourself

Well, we added all the names to our randomizer for the "Win-A-Clambake" monthly drawing and Karen came out the lucky winner.

When Karen comes to pick up her Clambake-to-Travel at our kitchen in Pawtucket, she can expect to bring home a traditional New England Clambake in a reusable pot. Just wait until she finds out how easy it is to prepare our clambakes to travel!

We are not kidding..... This is how easy it is to have a Do-It-Yourself Clambake in your home, beachside or at your campsite!

You simply add water to the reusable pot and then place it on your stove top. The pot holds lobster, steamers, mussels, chourico, corn on the cob, red bliss potatoes & onions. In less than one hour, you and your guests can enjoy their own Traditional Old-Fashioned Clambake.

You could become next month's winner.  Simply visit the "Win a Clambake" page to register.
Please, feel free to enter every month.  The more the merrier.

Good Luck!

Cinco de Mayo

cinco de mayo TFL

Cinco de Mayo, Spanish for "Fifth of May", is also known as the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. It is a national holiday in Mexico in honor of a military victory in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon III. Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, especially in areas with large Mexican-American populations. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated with parades, mariachi music and street festivals.

Here, at B&M Catering, we'll use any excuse for Fiesta!

Today, we suggest you try making these two different types of guacamole outlined by our friend, Tricia in Friends, Food Family: Cinco de Mayo Throwdown - Killer Guacamole VS Tequila Lime Guacamole.

Fiesta Menu

Our customers often enjoy our own "South of the Border" menu which includes:

  • Vegetarian or meat chili
  • Taco bar
  • Mexicali vegetable medley
  • Spanish rice
  • more.....

Might as well mix up some margaritas and chill the Dos Equis.

B&M Catering is on PinterestCheck out B&M Catering's Cinco de Mayo - Fiesta Pinterest Page where we have collected some really great fiesta additions.  Our favorites include the Cinco de Mayo strawberries: ripe strawberries dipped in white chocolage and then dipped in green sugar to represent the colors of the Mexican flag.  Not that we are that we are big on arts and crafts here in the kitchen, but we are aslo intrigued by the Papel Picado Banners. The tequila jello shots served in a slice of lime look like lots of fun. Check out those and more fun Fiesta ideas.

¡ Que todos tengan una fiesta !

We have a number of Full-Service Catering Menus available for you to review. Please be sure to give our event planners a call to discuss your own menu preferences.
