Tailgate Like a Champion (Without Touching the Grill)

Tailgate Catering in RI, MA & CT | B&M Catering Co. caters like a champion

Football season is back in Southern New England, and you can feel it before you see it. Sunday mornings get a little sharper. The good folding chairs come back out of the garage. Somebody in the group text is already arguing about the depth chart.

Nobody argues about the food, though. Everyone wants it, and nobody wants to be the one making it.

That is the quiet trade a lot of hosts make without meaning to. You invite eighteen people over for a noon kickoff, and you spend the entire first half flipping burgers in the driveway while the house erupts twice without you. If you closed out the summer with a Labor Day cookout, you already know the feeling.

For 40 years, B&M Catering Co. has been solving that for hosts across Rhode Island, South Coast Massachusetts, and Eastern Connecticut. You handle the seating and the cooler. We handle the cooking.

Start With the Sideline Snacks

Game day food has one job: it has to hold up through four quarters of people wandering back and forth.

Our Sideline Snacks menu is built for exactly that. Spinach and artichoke, Philly cheesesteak, and buffalo chicken dips come with chips, crackers, or French baguette. Wings arrive by the dozen, bone-in or boneless, in buffalo, BBQ, garlic parmesan, jerk, or plain, with celery, carrots, and your choice of ranch or blue cheese. Add pretzel bites with mustard and queso, pigs in a blanket, ham and cheese Hawaiian roll sliders, or a Classic Italian sandwich platter with a relish tray.

Pans come in two sizes: small feeds up to 15, large feeds up to 35. Chili with cheese and tortilla chips comes in beef or veggie. Cookie platters, mini cheesecakes, and apple crisp with whipped cream handle the fourth quarter. Disposable serving utensils come with every order, so there is nothing to wash and nothing to return. Bring In the Heavy Hitters

Snacks can carry a living room watch party. A real tailgate wants something off the grill.

That is where our BBQ menus come in. Burgers and hot dogs, BBQ steak tips, sweet Italian sausage or chourico with sauteed peppers and onions, BBQ chicken breast, baby back ribs. Round it out with cowboy beans, red roast potatoes, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread with butter.

Mix and match until it fits your crowd. A house full of teenagers eats differently than a driveway full of neighbors, and we build the menu around whoever is actually showing up. The steak tips are usually the sleeper hit, and the sausage and peppers are the thing people ask about on Monday.

Hot Food That Stays Hot

Here is the part most hosts underestimate. Food safety guidance is clear that perishable food should not sit out more than two hours, and hot food needs to stay at 140 degrees or above. Four hours of football is a long time for a tray of wings on a card table.

We handle that with chafing dishes, proper holding, and timing built around kickoff instead of around your oven. Choose pick-up from our Pawtucket kitchen if you want to grab everything on your way home, or delivery with service if you would rather have it dropped, set up, and ready to go. The USDA's tailgating food safety guidance is worth a read either way.

Corporate Tailgates and Big Watch Parties

Football is one of the easiest excuses on the calendar to get a team together. No speeches, no seating chart, no agenda.

For companies hosting clients or staff, corporate catering turns a parking lot or an office common room into something people actually remember. And when the group is big enough that somebody needs to be running the buffet, full-service catering puts our staff on site to cook, serve, and clean up. Same food, same flavor, none of it landing on the office manager who drew the short straw.

Get Your Game Day Booked

Home openers, rivalry weekends, playoff runs, and the big one in February all fill up fast, and Sideline Snacks delivery starts at a $750 minimum.

Give us a call or send a message and we will build a menu around your kickoff. You have watched enough games from the driveway. This season, sit down before the coin toss and stay there.
